Description

A 1786 New Jersey copper with the reverse legend E PLURIBUS UNUM misspelled as PLUKIBUS. Legend errors on New Jersey coppers are less common than on Connecticut coppers, making this an interesting variety. The K-for-R substitution resulted from a confused or reversed letter punch.

Rarity Notes

Scarce legend error variety.
