Description

A scarce variety of the St. Patrick Farthing distinguished by a nimbus (halo) surrounding the head of St. Patrick on the reverse. The obverse retains the standard King David with harp design and brass plug. The halo variety is considerably scarcer than the regular issue and commands a significant premium. Like all St. Patrick coinage, these were given legal tender status in colonial New Jersey in 1682.

Rarity Notes

Scarce variety. The nimbus (halo) around St. Patrick's head distinguishes this from the regular issue. R.5 to R.6 depending on die variety.
