(No Date) Civil War Store Card F-NL-16i
Strike TypeCoin Details
Description
Civil War store card cataloged as Fuld NL-16i in the Location Unknown section. This token carries an "NL" (Not Listed) Fuld designation, placing it outside the standard catalog framework. The absence of a date is common for Civil War tokens, which were produced during the 1862-1864 coin shortage era. Private tokens filled the currency vacuum created when Americans hoarded federal coins after the suspension of specie payments in December 1861. Collectors classify Civil War tokens by the Fuld numbering system, which catalogs each unique die combination. Rarity ratings range from R-1 (over 5,000 known) to R-10 (unique).
