Description

The CU-100c(Au)-1853-01R Rim Cud is a cud error, a type of major die break at the rim where a piece of the die broke away, creating a raised featureless blob at the edge of the coin. This variety was discovered on the 1853 Liberty Gold Dollar, part of the Liberty Head Gold Dollars 1849-1854 series.
