Description

The 2025 (S) Proof Juliette Gordon Low Quarter is a proof quarter struck at the San Francisco Mint, part of the American Women Quarters (2022 - 2025) series. The San Francisco Mint struck 338,643 clad proof Juliette Gordon Low quarters dated 2025. The obverse features George Washington facing right in a new dynamic portrait by Laura Gardin Fraser (modeled in 1931 and first used on a quarter in 2022) and the reverse displays unique designs honoring prominent American women who shaped the nation's history. The reverse shows Juliette Gordon Low beside the original Girl Scout Trefoil, a design she created and patented. Inscriptions: JULIETTE GORDON LOW, QUARTER DOLLAR, FOUNDER of GIRL SCOUTS of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA and E PLURIBUS UNUM. Founder of the Girl Scouts of the United States of America in 1912, empowering generations of girls through leadership and service. Final year of the program, featuring Ida B. Wells, Dr. Vera Rubin, Stacey Park Milbern, Juliette Gordon Low, and Althea Gibson. As a proof issue, this coin was struck multiple times on specially prepared polished planchets using polished dies, producing mirror-like fields and frosted design elements prized by collectors. Struck at the San Francisco Mint, established during the California Gold Rush and now primarily producing proof and collector coins. Estimated market value ranges from $0.25 to $28 depending on grade and condition. Struck in copper-nickel, weighing 5.67 grams, 24.26 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge.
