Description
The 2024 (P) American Innovation Dollar - Illinois, Position A is a dollar produced at the Philadelphia Mint as part of the American Innovation Dollars 2018 to Date series. The U.S. Mint produced 498,675 examples. The obverse features the Statue of Liberty with a geared background representing innovation, while the reverse displays rotating designs honoring innovations and innovators from each state and territory. Designed by Justin Kunz (obverse) / various reverse designers. Struck in 88.5% copper, 6% zinc, 3.5% manganese and 2% nickel, weighing 8.1 grams, 26.49 mm in diameter, with a lettered edge.
