About This Coin
The 2024 Native American Dollar is a United States dollar from the Sacagawea & Native American Dollars 2000 to Date series. In 2024, coins were struck at the Denver, San Francisco, and Philadelphia Mints with a combined mintage of 2.8 million. The obverse features Sacagawea carrying her infant son, Jean Baptiste Charbonneau, on her back; the reverse changes every year to honor a Native American contribution. The 2024 Native American Dollar commemorates the Indian Citizenship Act of 1924, which granted U.S. citizenship to all Native Americans born in the United States. The reverse features an eagle staff alongside an American flag. Struck in manganese brass (77% copper, 12% zinc, 7% manganese, 4% nickel) bonded to a pure copper core, weighing 8.1 grams, 26.5 mm in diameter, with a lettered edge.
