The 2023 (D) American Innovation Dollar - Indiana, Position B is a dollar produced at the Denver Mint as part of the American Innovation Dollars 2018 to Date series. The U.S. Mint produced 452,350 examples, making this ranked 9th of 16 mint variants by mintage, with 6% of production. The obverse features the Statue of Liberty with a geared background representing innovation and the reverse displays rotating designs honoring innovations and innovators from each state and territory. This coin honors Indiana's legacy of automotive innovation, from early manufacturing to the iconic Indianapolis 500. The reverse features vehicles spanning the evolution from early gas automobiles to modern Indy-style race cars.
