2022 Negro Leagues Baseball Commemorative Dollar

About This Coin

The 2022 Negro Leagues Baseball Commemorative Dollar is a United States dollar from the Modern Commemorative Dollars (1982-Date) series. In 2022, the Philadelphia Mint struck 65,295 of these dollars, uncirculated and proof together, by the Mint's figures. The obverse shows a pitcher in mid-throw inside a border of baseball stitching and the reverse a pitch arriving at the catcher, seen from the batter's position. A modern issue from an era of rotating coin designs, collector-focused programs, and renewed interest in numismatic artistry. Struck in 99.9% silver, weighing 26.73 grams, 38.1 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Designed by Matt Swaim/Don Everhart.
