Description
The 2020 (S) Reverse Proof Presidential Dollar - George H.W. Bush is a proof dollar struck at the San Francisco Mint, part of the Presidential Dollars 2007 to Date series. With a mintage of 35,000, this is a scarce issue. The obverse features rotating portraits of each U.S. president in order of service, released four per year, while the reverse displays the Statue of Liberty. Designed by Various designers for each president / Don Everhart (reverse). Struck in 77% copper, 12% zinc, 1% other over a pure copper core, 26.5 mm in diameter. Cataloged as PCGS #890863. The Presidential Dollar Program (2007-2016, continuing with deceased presidents) issued dollar coins honoring each president in chronological order. The 2007 Washington dollar "Godless Dollar" error (missing edge inscription) attracted widespread media attention. Position A and Position B edge lettering varieties are collected.
