2016 Philadelphia Mint 2016 Philadelphia Mint RIDB-1c-2016-01R The surface within the break is of the same consistency of the surrounding area. So that piece has not fallen away, but is still within the die. There is a small die break / chip at the left end of the die crack that formed the retained interior die break.
