The 2016 National Park Service 100th Anniversary Commemorative Dollar is a United States dollar from the Modern Commemorative Dollars (1982-Date) series. The obverse features designs varying by commemorative issue, authorized by Congress to honor significant American events, people, and institutions, while the reverse displays designs varying by commemorative issue. Designed by Joseph Menna/Chris Costello. Struck in 90% silver, 10% copper, weighing 26.73 grams, 38.1 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. The modern commemorative coin program was revived in 1982 after a 28-year hiatus. Each commemorative dollar is struck in 90% silver (26.73 grams) and honors a different subject.
