The 2013 (D) Great Basin National Park Quarter is a quarter produced at the Denver Mint as part of the America the Beautiful Quarters 2010-2021 series. The U.S. Mint produced 141.4 million examples, making this ranked 12th of 15 mint variants by mintage, with 10% of production. The obverse features George Washington facing left, based on a 1786 bust by Jean-Antoine Houdon and the reverse displays unique designs featuring national parks and sites from each state and territory. The reverse depicts a single Bristlecone Pine growing among rocky glacial moraines. Great Basin National Park is home to Bristlecone Pines, among the oldest living organisms on Earth at nearly 5,000 years old. White Mountain (NH), Perry's Victory (OH), Great Basin (NV), Fort McHenry (MD), and Mount Rushmore (SD) were released. The Mount Rushmore quarter was among the most popular issues in the series. Struck at the Denver Mint, established in 1906 from an earlier assay office that processed Colorado gold rush metal. Estimated market value ranges from $0 to $1 depending on grade and condition.
