The 2010 (D) Yosemite National Park Quarter is a quarter produced at the Denver Mint as part of the America the Beautiful Quarters 2010-2021 series. The U.S. Mint produced 34.8 million examples, making this ranked 5th of 10 mint variants by mintage, with 10% of production. The obverse features George Washington facing left, based on a 1786 bust by Jean-Antoine Houdon and the reverse displays unique designs featuring national parks and sites from each state and territory. The reverse depicts El Capitan, the massive 3,000-foot granite monolith. Yosemite National Park in California's Sierra Nevada is renowned for its dramatic granite cliffs, towering waterfalls, and giant sequoia groves.
