CU-10c-2008P-01B Cud

Description

Complementing the obverse cud documented as CU-10c-2008P-01A, this first reverse cud for the 2008 Philadelphia Mint Roosevelt Dime carries the "B" suffix designating it as a reverse die failure. Together, the 01A and 01B entries document cud varieties on both sides of the 2008-P dime, with each resulting from an independent die rim fracture on a different die. A reverse cud on a Roosevelt Dime affects the torch, olive branch, oak branch, or surrounding inscriptions depending on where along the rim the die fragment separated. The raised featureless area that results from the die cavity filling with metal creates a distinctive blank zone that contrasts with the adjacent design detail.
