Description

When a die develops so many cracks that the entire surface resembles a shattered windshield, the result is a shattered die variety — the terminal stage of die deterioration. Cataloged as SHD-10c-2007P-03 by Cuds on Coins, this 2007 Philadelphia Roosevelt Dime exhibits a network of interconnected die cracks spreading across the die face in multiple directions, creating a web-like pattern of raised lines on the struck coin.
