Description
The 2007 (P) Desegregation Dollar is a dollar produced at the Philadelphia Mint as part of the Modern Commemorative Dollars (1982-Date) series. The U.S. Mint produced 66,093 examples. The obverse features designs varying by commemorative issue, authorized by Congress to honor significant American events, people, and institutions, while the reverse displays designs varying by commemorative issue. Designed by Richard Masters, Charles Vickers/Don Everhart. Struck in 90% silver, 10% copper, weighing 26.73 grams, 38.1 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Cataloged as PCGS #149569. The modern commemorative coin program was revived in 1982 after a 28-year hiatus. Over 80 different silver dollar commemoratives have been issued. Proof and uncirculated versions are produced each year. Low-mintage issues and popular subjects command the highest premiums.
