The reverse features the three ships Susan Constant, Godspeed, and Discovery, with the inscription "Jamestown 1607–2007," honoring the founding of Jamestown as the first permanent English settlement in North America. Massachusetts, Maryland, South Carolina, New Hampshire, and Virginia. The program drove an estimated 147 million Americans to collect quarters.
