1995 (P) Lincoln Memorial Cent - Radical MAD Die Clash MDC-1C-1995-01

Description

MDC-1c-1995-01 is a radical misaligned (MAD) die clash on a 1995-P Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by Mad Die Clashes. The clash mark is an impression of the edge of the die's field, with a few letter traces just above it. The dies were misaligned horizontally by about 30%, and since these are the only clash marks, a vertical misalignment is also assumed. The top bar of the F in OF (from UNITED STATES OF AMERICA) projects from the front of Lincoln's coat, and in early die states the tops of ES from STATES show inside the bust. On the reverse, the only evidence is a line from Lincoln's coat passing below the top bar of the F in OF.
