The 1994 United States Prisoner of War Museum Commemorative Dollar is a United States dollar from the Modern Commemorative Dollars (1982-Date) series. In 1994, the Philadelphia and West Point Mints struck 279,342 of these dollars, uncirculated and proof together, by the Mint's figures. The obverse shows an eagle breaking out of a ring of barbed wire and the reverse the planned National Prisoner of War Museum. Struck in 90% silver, 10% copper, weighing 26.73 grams, 38.1 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Designed by Tom Nielsen/Edgar Z. Steever.
