Description
The presence of a Large Date entry within a census number that also includes two Small Date members underscores the cross-subtype scope of CU-52's documentation: because the date style comes from the hub, the census number covers different dies in both date styles on the bronze composition, plus the zinc small date configuration. On this bronze planchet, the solid alloy fills the interior cud with warm-toned metal indistinguishable from the surrounding design field, and the resulting raised plateau preserves the fracture geometry of a die whose service life bridged multiple subtype configurations.
