This discrepancy between catalog positions illustrates how different attribution systems assign numbers based on their own discovery chronologies rather than any intrinsic ordering of the die breaks themselves: what the LC system encountered and documented second may have been discovered much later by the Cuds on Coins census, yielding the seemingly paradoxical pairing of LD-2 with CU-25.
