Description
The 1967 Doubled Die Obverse DDO-010 is a doubled die obverse (DDO) variety, where a misalignment during the die hubbing process created visible doubling on the obverse design elements. This variety was discovered on the 1967 Kennedy Half Dollar, part of the Kennedy Half Dollars Silver Clad 1965-1970 series. Die markers: UVC-334 DMR-021 Stage A: EDS (unconfirmed) Stage B: Light die scratches North-South in front of profile – MDS Reverse is MDS Stage C: Obverse and Reverse are LDS Stage D: Die crack and chip on bust West of WE – VLDS Die crack in upper hair Reverse is VLDS.
