The 1964 Die Trial is a United States coin from the Die Trials, Hub Trials, and Splashers 1792-1982 series — the final year of the series. The obverse features test impressions from coin dies, ranging from fully detailed to partial impressions and the reverse displays test impressions that may be blank, partial, or paired with unrelated dies (mules). Minted during the post-war economic boom, the final era of silver circulating coinage in the United States before the Coinage Act of 1965. Designed by Various Mint engravers.
