The 1956 Doubled Die Reverse DDR-005 is a doubled die reverse (DDR) variety, where die hubbing misalignment produced visible doubling on the reverse design. This variety was discovered on the 1956 Proof Franklin Half Dollar - Type 1, part of the Franklin Half Dollars 1948-1963 series.
