1955 Lincoln Wheat Cent - Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-012
ErrorDescription
The Wexler Team cataloged WDDO-012 under Variety ID: 1955 1¢ WDDO-012, with no additional cross-references or published die markers. Twelve DDO varieties from a single year and mint confirms that the alignment problems producing the famous 1955 DDO were not isolated incidents but rather reflected ongoing mechanical conditions during die preparation. Collectors searching rolls and accumulations of 1955 cents should remain alert to the full range of DDO varieties beyond the celebrated WDDO-001.
