Error
Description
A strong Class II spread towards the center shows on the letters of IGWT. A slight spread shows on the date, the upper hair details, and Lincoln’s eyelid. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Two small die gouges can be found on the forehead just above the bridge of the nose. A die gouge (dot) can be found between the lower I and B of LIBERTY. Two small die gouges can be found near the rim east of the date. Obverse Stage B: The die gouges near the rim are weaker. Obverse Stage C: The die gouges near the rim are now gone. Reverse Stage A: A small die gouge can be found on the lower T of CENT. Reverse Stage B: A new reverse die has a doubled die listed as 1951 1¢ Pr WDDR-001. Reverse Stage C: The reverse die was changed back to the reverse die found on Stage A specimens.
