Description
A close spread toward the center shows on the date and the lower skirt. Doubling on IGWT and LIBERTY may be present on a higher grade example.Die Markers: Obverse: None visible, circulated specimen examined. Reverse: Long die scratches through the last S in STATES, OF, and the AM in AMERICA.Submitted By: John A. WexlerCross References: None knownComments: This is a replacement listing. The original WDDO-002 was a 1943/2 die that was delisted as a doubled working hub and is now under reevaluation. If the original WDDO-002 is reinstated as a doubled die, this die may be reassigned to a different number. Obverse: Series of SE die scratches from outside the right fork of the Y in LIBERTY. Die scratches NW from the left side of the vertical bar of the T in LIBERTY. NE/SW die scratch between the stars above the left shoulder. Reverse: Very short NNW/SSE die scratch in the field outside of the ell of the first L in DOLLAR.
