The 1941 (D) Jefferson Nickel is a nickel produced at the Denver Mint as part of the Jefferson Nickels Original Design 1938-2003 series. The U.S. Mint produced 53.4 million examples, making this ranked 2nd of 3 mint variants by mintage, with 18% of production. The obverse features Thomas Jefferson facing left and the reverse displays Monticello, Thomas Jefferson's Virginia estate. Final full year of standard copper-nickel composition before wartime silver began in 1942.
