Description
A very strong Class V CCW spread from a pivot at about 10:00 shows on LIBERTY, the lower bust, the date, Lincoln’s eyelid, TRUST, and the bowtie. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: A strong die gouge extends ESE from the rim through the TRU of TRUST. A die scratch runs SW from the lower left I of LIBERTY. The first hubbing was from a hub with a broken left leg of the R in LIBERTY. Obverse Stage B: The die gouge at TRUST is much weaker. The die scratch from the I of LIBERTY has been abraded away. Reverse Stage A: None noted. Reverse Stage B: Die scratches run NE inside the C of CENT from the bottom curve of the C. A die scratch runs south from the bottom center of the C in CENT.
