Description
A very strong Class IV spread to the SW shows on the date, LIBERTY, IGWT, the top of Lincoln’s head, and Lincoln’s ear. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: A circular die scratch at the rim runs CW from 8:00 ending above the U of TRUST. A die gouge can be found on the upper back of the nose similar to some doubled eyelid varieties. The first hubbing was from a hub with a broken left leg of the R in LIBERTY. Obverse Stage B: A die crack runs across the lower shoulder with a die chip at the center of the die crack (north of the V.D.B.). Reverse Stage A: None noted. Reverse Stage B: None noted.
