Description
A spread towards the center shows on the date, the letters of IGWT, the designer’s initials, and the Y of LIBERTY.Die Markers: Obverse: A die crack runs from the rim to the wing just to the left of the T in LIBERTY. Reverse: A die scratch connects the top two olive leaves just to the left of the lower part of the axe blade. A die scratch runs ENE from the right side of the fasces north of the E in EPU.Submitted By: Thomas McGowanCross References: None known Obverse: A die crack runs from north to south between the rim and the bust at about 6:00. Die scratches run from NE to SW between the rim and the W of WE. Reverse: A die scratch runs from NW to SE at the top of the main olive branch where it divides into limbs.
