The 1928 Philippine Five Centavos is a United States cent from the Philippines Five Centavos 1903-1945 series — 15th of 25 years in the series. In 1928, coins were struck at the M Mint. The obverse features a male figure seated beside a hammer and anvil and the reverse displays an eagle above a shield. Minted during and after World War I, as America emerged as a global power and experienced the prosperity of the Roaring Twenties.
