Description

The 1926 Doubled Die Obverse DDO-002 is a doubled die obverse (DDO) variety, where a misalignment during the die hubbing process created visible doubling on the obverse design elements. This variety was discovered on the 1926 Buffalo Nickel, part of the Buffalo Nickels 1913-1938 series. Die markers: UVC-107 DMR-004 Stage A: Obverse is EDS Reverse is LISTED as DDR-002 – EDS Stage B: MDS (unconfirmed) Stage C: LDS (unconfirmed). Cross-referenced as FS-101.
