The 1919 Medal Die Trial is a United States medal from the Die Trials, Hub Trials, and Splashers 1792-1982 series — a late issue, 33rd of 39 years in the series. The obverse features test impressions from coin dies, ranging from fully detailed to partial impressions and the reverse displays test impressions that may be blank, partial, or paired with unrelated dies (mules). Minted during and after World War I, as America emerged as a global power and experienced the prosperity of the Roaring Twenties. A notable auction result reached $2.9K in SP63 grade at Stack's Bowers. Designed by Various Mint engravers.
