The 1915 Philippine Centavo is a United States cent from the Philippines Centavos 1903-1945 series — 12th of 36 years in the series. In 1915, coins were struck at the San Francisco Mint with a combined mintage of 2.5 million. The obverse features a male figure seated beside a hammer and anvil and the reverse displays an eagle above a shield, with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Produced during the Progressive Era, when President Theodore Roosevelt championed a renaissance in American coin design that produced some of the most beautiful coins ever struck. Struck in bronze.
