Description

An airplane flies over the Home Economy Building on the obverse of HK-433, a 1915 piece of the Panama-California Exposition at San Diego, with "Home Economy Bldg" under the building, the exposition name above and "San Diego 1915" below; this side has no beaded border. The reverse is a club badge: a swastika, used here as a good-luck sign, holds a four-leaf clover, a horseshoe, a wishbone and three more charms, with "Good Luck" beneath and "Membership Emblem of the Don't Worry Club" around the edge. The exposition filled City Park, now Balboa Park, and Hibler and Kappen credit it with tripling San Diego's permanent population almost at once. HK-433 is gilt, 36 mm; the same obverse with a U. S. Grant Hotel reverse is HK-434.
