Description
The 1909 Doubled Die Reverse DDR-006 is a doubled die reverse (DDR) variety, where die hubbing misalignment produced visible doubling on the reverse design. This variety was discovered on the 1909 Lincoln Wheat Cent - VDB, part of the Lincoln Wheat Cents 1909-1958 series. Die markers: UVC-2513 DMR-013 Stage A: Small die gouge line in the upper A of STATES – EMDS Small die gouge dot between upper IB of LIBERTY – EDS Stage B: Die crack from Right wheat grains to rim at K-3:30 – MDS Very light die crack across bust – MDS Stage C: LDS (unconfirmed). Reverse is RDV-003 (No V.D.B.).
