Description

A nice Class II spread towards the center shows on the letters of EPU, ONE, and both of the wheat ears. Some doubling also shows on the letters of USA and the wheat stems. Die Markers: Obverse: A die gouge (dot) shows in the field between the rim and the base of the bust at about 7:00. Reverse: A light die scratch runs west from just slightly below the left center of the I in PLURIBUS. There is a short die scratch running NW to SE at the lower horizontal bar of the L in PLURIBUS. Two parallel die scratches running WSW to ENE can be seen just above the I and C of AMERICA. Obverse:
