1906 (O) Barber Dime - Repunched Date WRPD-001

Description

1906-O WRPD-001 is a repunched date on the 1906-O Barber dime, cataloged by the Wexler team. Wexler describes it as 1906/19-6, the date repunched to the south and strongest on the 19. On the obverse, a short die crack runs east off the bust's front tip; a strong die scratch links the upper lip with the C in AMERICA, running SE; two short scratches lie above the F in OF; and a NE/SW scratch sits above the ribbon's knot. On the reverse, strong east-west scratches cross the upper DI of DIME; a strong scratch heads NE off the N in ONE; and a north-south scratch lies in the opening of the upper right corn husk. Jason Mondy submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
