Description
1902-O VAM-26B Doubled Profile & Reverse Lettering, Near Date, Pitted ONE 26B III2 15 - C4l (Doubled Profile & Reverse Lettering, Near Date, Pitted ONE) (181) Obverse III2 15 - Die Marker - Zigzag die scratch on upper lip. Reverse C4l- A few raised dots from rusted die below ONE. Small raised dots between denticles around whole periphery from possible die doubling of denticles. III O mint mark tilted slightly left. Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: On MDS examples this VAM has a raised lump at the lower right of the O in ONE. While it is fairly strong, it will disappear depending on the lighting. By LDS this limp is spent and there is no trace of it. The EDS does not have the Zigzag die scratch on upper lip. The pitting under the "ON" of ONE seems to transcend all die stages.
