1902-O VAM-17B Doubled Ear, 2 Olive Reverse, Die Gouges 1 & Star, Near Date Discovered by Michael Ash, November 2006. 17B III210 · C4/C3d (Doubled Ear, 2 Olive Reverse, Die Gouges 1 & Star, Near Date) (181) Obverse III210– Two raised dots left of 1 and three short die scratches above first left star on early die states. Reverse C4/C3d- III O mint mark set high, upright and centered. Extra olive to right of olive connected to olive branch. Doubled tops of arrow feathers, top of olive branch at right of olives, at base of left olive leaf clusters, and back of lower arrow head. IN GOD WE TRUST doubled at top. UNITED STATES OF doubled towards rim. Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: Some specimens can be found with a 10 degree clockwise rotation. Ear doubled slightly at very bottom outside. Date set further left than normal. Closed 9.
