=1902-O VAM-15A Doubled Profile, 2-Olive Reverse, Die Break E DO= Discovered by Richard J. Verdi in 2005 15A III28 · C4/C3b (Doubled Profile, 2 Olive Reverse, Die Break E DO) (181) Obverse III28– Base of 2 filled in on some specimens. Reverse C4/C3b– Heavy thick die crack thru bottom of E and D and curving down to denticles below O in DOLLAR with break between E and D. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # This variety is distinguished by the thick die crack that runs through the bottom of the E in ONE and curves down to the rim below the O in DOLLAR. There is a distinct die break between the E of ONE and D of DOLLAR. The reverse has the 2-olive type and the obverse sports a doubled profile and filled base of the 2 in the date. # Both 1902-O VAM-15 & 1902-O VAM-15A were produced with the exact same pair of dies.
