Description
1902-O VAM-14 Doubled Profile & Reverse Legend Discovered by Jim Baxter, January 1979. Revised 2009, 2010. 14(revised) III28 · C4i (Doubled Profile & Reverse Legend) (181) Obverse III28 – Slightly doubled nose, lips, chin and neck on Liberty's profile. Die marker - Fine polishing lines at UN of UNUM. Tiny raised dot above I in LIBERTY. Reverse C4i – Same hub doubling as on VAM-26 C4l. III O mint mark set slightly to right. Die marker - Fine polishing lines at bottom of DOL in DOLLAR. Some specimens show die scratch at eagle's eye. Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: Slightly doubled to quintupled UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and right star towards rim and tops of In God We Trust. Not the same die pair as the 1902-O VAM-14A.
