=1897-O VAM-4 Doubled 18-7, Near Date, High O Tilted Right= Discovered by Leonard Hinckley, February 1974. Revised by VAMfinder to add doubled 18 in 2010. 4(revised) III2 2 - C3e (Doubled 18-7, Near Date, High O Tilted Right) (181) Obverse III2 2 - Doubled 18-7 in date. Slightly doubled 1 at top left of bottom cross bar, 8 at top inside of lower loop and 7 at bottom of lower serif of crossbar and at very bottom. Date set further left than normal. Reverse C3e - Mint mark set slightly high and tilted right. DPIS - B23/LH4 ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # Crack develops in lower hair into right field and between right stars 5 and 6.
