1895-S VAM-6A S Set High and Right, Die Break Through D on Reverse Co-Discovered June 2004 by Tim Cannard and Dennis Halladay Renumbered as VAM 6A January 2022 6A III2 1 · C3e (S Set High and Right, Die Break Below D) (?) Reverse C3a – Slightly diagonal die crack from rim thru D in DOLLAR up to left side of S mint mark to wreath with wide die break from rim to bottom of D. S mint mark set slightly high and to right. DPIS - Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: Reclassified as 1895-S VAM-6A when an early die stage without the reverse die break was discovered and listed as 1895-S VAM-6. Exact same obverse die used to produce 1895-S VAM-4, 1895-S VAM-5, 1895-S VAM-6 & 1895-S VAM-6A.
