Description
This 1892 Indian Head cent displays a die clash on both sides. Part of the letter C from CENT is visible on the obverse, and part of the front of Liberty's portrait along with part of the feathers are clashed on the reverse. Die clashes occurred when the obverse and reverse dies struck each other without a planchet between them, transferring design elements from each die onto the other. This is a moderate die clash showing the characteristic C transfer on the obverse that is typical for Indian Head cents.
