ErrorDescription
=1888-P VAM-12B Doubled Ear, High Date, Doubled Reverse, Clashed Reverse E= Discovery April 2009 Eliminated August 2010 COMMENTS: 1888p v12a. Worn dies & weakly struck coin but does show high date & dbld of some rev legend letters, wreath leaves _W -rust. Arrow feathers & left TF ends are rounded from weak strike so can't tell if dbld. Ear very weakly struck_can't tell if doubled. But clash lines up from wing to N_G matches 12A photo in 2009 VAM supplement. Don't see any raised partial E below TF. Photo in 2009 Supplement shows white outline of E below TF that is really too small for normal clashed E. So 12B is eliminated & clashed E was false alarm! 12B III220 · C3a (Doubled Ear, High Date, Doubled Reverse, Clashed Reverse E) (190) Obverse III220– Clashed die with partial incuse n of In from reverse showing next to Liberty's neck. Reverse C3a - Clashed die with partial incuse of E of LIBERTY showing.
