Description
1885-S VAM-6 S/S Discovered by Leonard Hinckley, February 1974. This coin is a Top 100 Morgan VAM. 6 III2 1 - C3b (S/S) Reverse C3b- IV S mint mark strongly doubled with original showing as vertical spike to left, a thin diagonal line to left of upper loop, a curved line on right inside of lower loop, and a thin line on right inside of upper loop. DPIS - ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # This reverse shared with [[1885-S VAM-6 and [[1885-S VAM-9. # The [[1885-S VAM-6 has a strongly repunched mint mark. The remains of another S can be seen to the left of the lower serif. Be sure you check for the tops of digits in the denticles. If they are present, you have an ultra-rare [[1885-S VAM-9.
