=1885-S VAM-10 Doubled 885 Top= Discovered by George Powell, December 2004. 10 III28 · C3a (Doubled 885 Top) (187) Obverse III26– Top outside of 885 numerals very slightly doubled. Different die than VAM 7. ''Die'' ''markers''– Polishing lines around wheat kernels and three horizontal lines at top left of top left cotton leaf. Reverse C3a– IV S mint mark set slightly high and slightly filled. DPIS - ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # 1885-S VAM-5 & 1885-S VAM-10 share the exact same reverse. # The doubling on the date can be imperceptible even on MS examples (even at 45X !!).
